Day in the life of our Drivers

Preparing for a Collection Run starts the day before as our driver logs into the next day’s run to see if any items that maybe needed such as-

New Customer Bin delivery

Extra Collections outside of designated run

Customers who have extra bins to collect

On the Run morning usually around 6 – 6.15a.m Our Driver will again do an update on the Run collections and also most importantly run thru a safety check of truck & lifter ,this requires 20+ checks and must be done in order to download collection run onto Drivers iPad from Office .  One important part is uniform . As part of our service can involve going onto customer’s property which we regard as a privilege not to be taken lightly ,so unlike other companies that have a rather laissez-faire attitude to company uniform – We Greenie Garden Bins have it as a Mandatory requirement at all times as we make driver & Customer safety the no1 Priority  . And of course all our drivers are police vetted .

During the Day of collections we run what we call a “live ” collection run ,meaning if an extra collection or delivery of bin comes into the office that is passed onto the driver in real time so if able he/she can deal with it on the day saving us time in not having to come back into the area at a latter date – Again something other companies don’t do .

We encourage our drivers and you our customers to interact as we trust our drivers to problem solve on the job ,so don’t be afraid to ask them any questions you may have .

If time allows at the end of a collection run our driver will do a quick clean of the truck & lifter again for safety reasons and once a week a full water blast takes place -we run the cleanest trucks in the garden waste industry !

Hope this gives you a better understanding of a drivers day and don’t forget to say Hi as sometimes it’s one of the Bosses having a day out on the truck – don’t tell the Bosses but we usually give them the shorter routes as they aren’t as nimble as our fulltime team HaHa
